Mobile Source Emissions Inventory Projections Project
Overview
For western U.S. regional analysis using photochemical modeling for Regional Haze, WESTAR-WRAP is assisting state and local air agencies to review and, to the extent necessary and feasible, revise the 2028 future year mobile sources (i.e., on-road, off-road equipment, rail, marine, and airport) emission inventories. The basis of the future year 2028 mobile source emission inventories will utilize both the WRAP 2014NEIv2 dataset as well as the 2014-2016 National Emissions Modeling Collaborative 2016v1 future year 2028 inventory, with revisions per state agency input. The process allows participants to review and provide updates to these emissions inventories. Feedback and revisions to the inventories will be incorporated into air quality modeling by the WRAP for regional photochemical modeling.Meetings

a. Onroad Activity Summary
The spreadsheet provides 2014, 2016 and 2028 population and activity of on-road vehicles for 13 WRAP states. The 2014 activity data are from EPA 2014 platform and 2016/2028 data are from the latest 2016v1 emission modeling platform. In this spreadsheet, the tab "Dashboard" shows comparisons of vehicle population and VMT by state, vehicle type, fuel type and road type. The tab "Scaling_factor" provides ratio of future year/base year activities by state, vehicle type and fuel type.
